  1. Don’t go lupine-ing about it. I’m just tired of having to pay trick fees for the privilege of seeing my name in print, although I’m not massively anti the idea in general. Thanks for the memo anyway.

  2. I’m being stronger about it than I need to be really. Don’t have a right to an opinion because I’ve only done it twice. The main point is to get people talking about you. To get “known”. What I dislike is that it both leaves you out of pocket and exposes you as a person who cares about money more than having something valid to say. Am I making any sense?

  3. I’m glad. I’d rather they existed than didn’t, but I suppose the tension of the trade-off is what gets me. Tangentially, my respect for indie authors is immense. They’re juggernauts of entrepreneurial all rounder talent. Sorry to drag you into this debate.
